An unprecedented special series that draws heavily, both in the name chosen and in the overall image conferred on the model, from the great all-Italian tradition in craftsmanship of the highest value. Here, in a nutshell, is the identity card that accompanies the Alfa Romeo Stelvio 6C Villa d’Este: a modern setting, yes, but which nevertheless turns its gaze to the past of the Biscione, and in particular to the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d ‘Este in 1949 which awarded the magnificent 6C 2500 the first prize in the public referendum. As if to say: a nomination of Best in Show by popular acclaim.
And the fine palates of more than seventy years ago were once again right: the splendid coupé created by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera and produced in just 36 units between 1949 and 1952 represents one of the cornerstones of the great season of Italian industrial design, where that is, the formal coherence in the design of the object (the car, in this case) functional to its use, is so exact that it assumes a connotation of pure art. And this is the conceptual origin that suggested to Stellantis the idea of configuring the Alfa Romeo Stelvio with a specification of accessories and equipment that pay homage to Italian excellence.
Exterior and Interior
In detail, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio 6C Villa d’Este is set up in an exclusive three-layer Etna Rosso heritage body color, chosen precisely to recall the historic ancestor of 1949. The car body can also be recognized by the chromed frames of the side windows and the rims. 21” in the five hole design. Inside, the 6C Villa d’Este embroidery that adorns the front headrests of the seats covered in leather and with electric multi-adjustment control, the same monogram (plus the silhouette of the 6C 2500 Villa d’Este) on the dashboard stand out, the aluminum blades of the gearbox at the steering column.
Under the bonnet, the new special series is equipped with the all-aluminum 210 bhp 2.2 4-cylinder turbodiesel drive unit and carbon fiber propshaft (Q4 all-wheel drive) combined with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The accessories supplied as standard include the latest generation ADAS device module, the rear camera with dynamic grids, the front and rear parking sensors, the wireless charging system for portable devices, and the automatically operated tailgate of opening and closing.
The circulation and the sales amount have already been defined. Alfa Romeo Stelvio 6C Villa d’Este is offered on the Italian market in only 85 units, each of which is offered at a price starting from 73,100 euros. Orders are already open: as a promotional item, Alfa Romeo has created a commercial, directed by Marco Gentile, which made its debut on TV and on the Web, in which both models are described (6C 2500 Villa d’Este and Stelvio 6C Villa d’Este) in a liaison that focuses on the emotionality of driving unchanged even with the passage of time.
