First appearance of Honda e is striking because it is a linear and orderly car, both inside and out, capable of satisfying the needs of a large number of drivers. It has a retro flavor reminiscent of early 1970s Honda cars, but the technology is up to date and in some cases even better than what can be found in some of the electric ones.

Honda e is a 4-seater with a small trunk. Reduced capacity for the battery too. To compensate, Honda has made it easier and faster to use chargers in public when on the road. With a 100 kW fast point DC power supply it takes 30 minutes to reach 80% energy and not much more on the more common 50 kW units.
Once loaded, the Honda e is a lot of fun to drive. Two engines are available, a 136hp and 154hp base for the more complete Advance model. The engine drives the rear wheels and consequently there is no wheel spin that can occur in some electric cars in the case of a sprint start. Another advantage of this solution is the absence of complicated connections with the front. Translated into practical terms it means a really tight turning radius.
Honda also has integrated heating and cooling, so range should be less affected by extreme weather conditions. While some rivals have introduced larger batteries to offer longer range, Honda has taken a different approach.
The car is lighter than its rivals and the battery is quite sophisticated so as to ensure maximum exploitation of its size, including automatic heating and cooling, and to ensure that it always runs at the most efficient temperature. Like most electric vehicles, the battery pack is mounted under the floor to keep it safe and with a low center of gravity.
